Participants will be divided into collaborative teams that work together to complete a series of tasks.
Through the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Space Challenge mini-games, students engage in STEM learning via hands-on problem-solving. Campers take on the roles of young scientists and engineers, immersing themselves in motivating STEM activities that foster creative problem solving, communication, and teamwork (LEGO Education, 2020). These activities are complemented by scientific laboratory visits at Embry-Riddle and presentations by Engineering Physics faculty specializing in astronomy, astrophysics, planetary science, space science, and related STEM fields.
