Think like a hacker. Defend like a cybersecurity professional.

In Beginner Cybersecurity, campers will enter the exciting world of ethical hacking and digital defense. Through interactive challenges, hands-on projects, and expert-led instruction, participants will learn how cyber attacks work-and how cybersecurity professionals detect, prevent, and respond to them.

Campers will explore fundamental cybersecurity concepts, including:

  • Cryptography and secret codes
  • Open-source reconnaissance
  • Steganography and hidden information
  • Digital safety and wellness
  • Penetration testing
  • Information security

Throughout the camp, campers will work alongside experienced staff on practical projects designed to strengthen their problem-solving and technical skills. In the Cybersecurity Engineering Lab (CybEL), they will safely conduct authorized attacks against simulated services, such as webservers, and learn the complete life cycle of a cyberattack-from reconnaissance and exploitation to detection, response, and defense.

Through engaging exercises and real-world challenges, campers will discover how cybersecurity protects people, businesses, and critical systems while exploring exciting fields such as:

  • Digital Safety and Wellness
  • Penetration Testing
  • Software Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Information Security

This camp is perfect for curious problem-solvers who enjoy technology, puzzles, and thinking outside the box. Campers will leave with a stronger understanding of online safety, hands-on cybersecurity experience, and a glimpse into the fast-paced world of cyber defense.
