Camp Detail: AVI - Aviation Discovery
Who: Students Ages 10-12 (Registrations submitted for campers who do not meet the specified age criteria will be cancelled. In such cases, the cancellation policy does apply).

Tuition: TBD (Includes daily instruction, classroom materials, and lunch on-campus).
Discover the excitement of aviation from the inside out!
Aviation Discovery Camp offers students fun, engaging, and hands-on, and interactive introduction to the many careers and possibilities within the aviation industry. No prior technical experience is required, just curiosity and a desire to explore!
Students will learn how aircraft work, learn gain an understanding of aviation maintenance and safety, and discover how weather impacts flight operations. They will also explore the science of meteorology and may even can step in front of the camera and deliver their own weather broadcast using Embry-Riddle's broadcasting studio and weather lab.
Students will:
- Explore systems of aircraft
- Learn how aviation professionals keep flight operations safe
- Discover the role of weather in aviation
- Study aviation maintenance
- Experience hands-on activities in a weather laboratory
- Learn about uncrewed aircraft systems / drones
- Utilize aviation virtual reality and simulation
Through interactive activities and expert-led sessions, students will explore exciting fields such as:

- Aeronautical Science
- Meteorology
- Weather Broadcasting
- Uncrewed Aircraft Systems / Drones
- Aviation Maintenance
From aircraft and weather to safety and interactive activities, Aviation Discovery Camp gives students an exciting look at the many ways they can take their interests to new heights in the world of aviation.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing to summer@erau.edu. Cancellation fees vary based on the cancellation dates listed below.

In addition to the required application process, non-U.S. citizens must obtain an appropriate visa to attend the program such as a visitor visa (B-1/B-2).
