The Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, along with the Burke Dental Symposium Board of Directors, is proud to sponsor the 50th Annual Allyn D. Burke Dental Symposium. Named in honor of Colonel Allyn D. Burke, a graduate of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (now the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry), this annual dental symposium continues to honor the long-standing affiliation between military and non-military dental professionals throughout the United States and abroad. Dr. Burke was dedicated to the expanded role and efficient use of dental team members and was instrumental in establishing relationships between Fort Ord and Cabrillo College's Dental Hygiene Program and the Monterey Peninsula College Dental Assisting Program. Held at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, this year's program will bring you up-to-date on the proper use of antibiotics in dental practice, the myths of dentoalveolar surgery, current infection control guidelines, dental practice laws and the use of CAMBRA and the latest chemical treatments for caries in your practice.
