Course Description: Storytelling for Professional and Personal Growth

Designed for job seekers, employees, managers, leaders - and anyone eager to harness the power of storytelling - this 3-part course bridges the gap between storyteller and listener. Led by longtime TV broadcaster, public speaker, and storyteller Joe Camarlinghi, participants will learn proven communication techniques to:

Improve interviewing skills and personal impact
Increase earning potential with stronger speaking and presentation abilities
Craft compelling narratives that build authentic connections and drive results

80% of job interviews require at least one virtual interview, and most employment requires public speaking throughout the year, whether it's with peers, or public facing. Joe Camarlinghi

Biography: An experienced TV Journalist and video producer, Joe Camarlinghi is a communication expert at heart. A former news anchor, Joe learned the skills to deliver impactful messages, develop stories from beginning to end, and handle high-pressure situations - those of which include times where his skillset was tested raising two wonderfully rambunctious children. Joe's resume includes coaching individuals and organizations on speaking and communication skills, but his greatest love is his family which he lives life to the fullest with here in the High Desert.

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
