Course Description: Watercolor: Next Level

This five-week watercolor class welcomes students of all ability levels looking to deepen their skills. In a relaxed and encouraging studio environment, participants will explore the unique qualities of watercolor, including transparency, fluidity, and spontaneity. The course will cover essential techniques such as washes, glazing, wet-on-wet, and dry brush. Students will also dive into foundational topics like color theory, composition, perspective, and value, helping them create well-balanced and visually engaging works. Whether you're refining existing skills or discovering watercolor for the first time, this course offers a supportive space to explore your creative potential. Paper
?Watercolor Paper: 100% cotton, recommended size ~10x15 inches (or similar)Note: Cold-press paper is generally recommended for beginners.
?Sketchbook: For planning, thumbnails, or notes (mixed media or watercolor-friendly if possible)Brushes
?Wash Brush: 1" Hake or Mop Brush (size 4 or 6)
?Round Brush: Size 10

Cancellation Policy

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
