Course Description: Intro. to Drawing the Human Form: Open Lab

This hybrid format figure drawing course is designed for artists of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned professionals. The first 30 minutes of each session will include a brief introduction to essential techniques and best practices to help everyone get started, covering topics such as gesture drawing, proportion, and basic anatomy. After the instructional discussion, participants are welcome to put their skills to test, while receiving individualized feedback and encouragement. The drop-in style open lab allows students to attend as their schedules allow, with each session providing ample time to practice observational drawing and experiment with different media and techniques. Whether refining existing skills or simply enjoying the process of drawing from life, these sessions offer a welcoming space for creative exploration and growth. Our goal is to foster a positive and respectful environment where artists can create, share, and connect. Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
