Course Description: A Supper Series: Assorted Tapas & Paella
Welcome to the COCC Community Education Dinner Series. Join Chef Candy Argondizza as she demonstrates the technique of cooking Paella and assorted tapas, in our state-of-the-art demonstration classroom at Cascade Culinary Institute. Paella is a traditional dish of Spain. Its home is Valencia, but variations exist in the different Spanish provinces. Chef Candy will prepare a colorful mixture of saffron-flavored rice with assorted shellfish, fish, and chorizo sausage, using a paellera, the flat, round pan in which it is cooked. She will pair the dish with an assortment of tapas, or pintxos, a collection of small dishes meant to be shared. At the completion of the class, students will enjoy the dish and a glass of wine together in the Elevations dining room.
