Course Detail: Knife Skills and Other Cooking Fundamentals
Are your cooking skills limited to scrambled eggs and Top Ramen? Are you interested in learning to cook but don't know where to start? Join fellow novices in this fun class and prepare a great easy meal while learning the basics of cooking. Class will cover cooking techniques from sautéing to broiling, stocking your cabinet, knife skills and cutting styles, basic equipment needs, and food preparation. Don't be shy - open to men and women who are tired of takeout! Prepare an easy three-course dinner you'll be proud to serve to your friends and family! Bring an apron and knife.

Biography: Suzanne Landry is a celebrity chef, wellness educator, industry consultant, blogger, and certified Macrobiotic Cooking Teacher. Through her cooking school, Nature's Table, she has lectured and taught more than 8,000 students. She has appeared on TV and radio and is the author of The Passionate Vegetable and Fresh Food Matters. Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
