Course Description: Birdwatching for Beginners Youth Camp
Put a bird on it! Explore the world of birds with this 2-day camp that combines time in the classroom each morning followed by a birding field trip. Learn about bird identification and their ecology, and then use binoculars - and your own ears - to identify local birds by sight and sound. Taught by nature enthusiast and biologist, Damian Fagan, who has spent decades conducting bird surveys and fields trips for songbirds, owls, raptors, and greater sage-grouse. Binoculars are provided for use during the camp. Transportation to and from area park for the field trips is provided by a COCC-approved van driver and using a COCC van. Ages 10-15.
