The COVID-19 vaccinations are safe, highly effective, and our community's most important defense against COVID-19, helping to ensure we can hold classes in-person for the long term. COCC strongly recommends all Central Oregonians receive the COVID-19 vaccine if they are able to do so. COCC does not require face masks; however, the College strongly recommends the use of face masks for those who are unvaccinated or not yet fully vaccinated. COCC supports all individuals who choose to continue to wear masks in any campus setting. There are many reasons why one might continue to wear a face mask to reduce the risk of COVID-19. People who should take extra precautions include those who are unvaccinated, at increased risk for severe illness, living with at-risk dependents, pregnant, etc.
