Course Description: Forklift Operation and Safety

Learn how to operate a forklift safely. Includes video instruction and hands-on experience maneuvering a forklift in practice drills. Upon satisfactory completion, forklift operator certification cards will be mailed. Must bring a valid state driver's license or state ID card to class and be 18 years old. This training can also be provided at your business and customized to meet your needs.

Greg Hipkins

Biography: Greg has a degree in mathematics from UC Santa Barbara and a Career Technical Education teaching credential. He has 30 years of experience in the contractor and carpenter trades, where he also spent time teaching high school courses focusing on construction technology. Currently, Greg is the construction pre-apprenticeship program administrator at Central Oregon Community College.

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
