Course Description: Safe SitterŪ Essentials with CPR for Youth

This Safe SitterŪ program prepares students to be safe when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn first aid, choking infant/child rescue, and infant/child CPR. This interactive in-person class has games, videos, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. Safe Sitter graduates are prepared to prevent unsafe situations and know how to react when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. This class also includes life and business skills. Parents should arrive 15 minutes before the end of the class for a graduation ceremony. All supplies provided. The course teaches CPR but does not certify students in CPR. For 6th - 9th grade students.

Additional Course Information

There will be a 30 minute lunch break. Please bring a sack lunch. Of note: the course teaches CPR but does not certify students in CPR.

Cancellation Policy

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
