Course Description: ART 270: Beginning Printmaking

This course introduces relief printmaking techniques and the art of producing multiple prints. Distinguishes the hand-pulled print from mechanical duplication, situating the art of printmaking within a historic context. Integrates drawing, design principles, and conceptual frameworks as a uniquely independent form of artistic communication. This is a college-level course. Although assignments, tests, and quizzes are optional for Community Education students, you will be expected to fully participate. A textbook may be required for this course. Please check with the COCC Bookstore. This is a non-credit Community Education class. You will not receive college credit.

Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC.
