Course Description: G169: Field Geology - Exploration of the PNW

This course explores locations of geologic interest throughout the Pacific Northwest and meets for a multi-day overnight field trip to a selected location within a day's drive. This is a non-credit Community Education course, taken with credit students. You will not receive college credit.

Schedule: Class meets for orientation on Wednesday, January 7th from 5:30pm-6:20pm, on COCC's Bend Campus, Middelton Science Center, room 250. The Columbia River Gorge Field Trip will depart Thursday, February 26th late afternoon, and return the afternoon of Sunday, March 1st.

Additional Course Information

Transportation provided by COCC vans. Students should expect hikes up to five miles with up to 1,000' elevation gain, should carry a backpack with food and water and should be prepared for challenging weather conditions.

Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash.
