Course Description: Conversational Spanish III: Past, Future, and Conditional Tense

Take your Spanish-speaking skills to a higher level in this intermediate language class. Build confidence in daily conversation and gain additional vocabulary and communication skills. This course will reinforce stem-changing, irregular and reflexive verbs; practice Preterite, Imperfect and Present tenses; and introduce Past Perfect, Future, and Conditional tenses. Students and instructor will converse primarily in Spanish to give a full immersion experience and to train students to hear the language as well as speak it. Students must have completed Conversational Spanish II or have had recent Spanish language experience. In this class, we will cover the present and past tenses.

Additional Course Information

Required Textbook: Practice Makes Perfect Spanish Verb Tenses any edition. Conversational Spanish Courses are taught in both English and Spanish.

NOTE: All class times are Pacific Time (PT).

Online Course Information/Requirements:

- Course fee covers registration for one person unless otherwise noted.
- Must have access to a computer or laptop with current updated operating system. Mobile devices can be used to access some parts of classes but you may not be able to fully participate or complete your course on a phone or tablet.
- A high-speed internet connection.
- An up-to-date internet browser. We recommend Firefox or Chrome. Internet Explorer or Safari may have trouble and are not supported.
- Integrated or USB-connected webcam, speakers and microphone.

David Kargol

Biography: David has lived in Bend since the early 2000's. He has been teaching Spanish at Summit High School since 2013 and loves his role as a language instructor. David spent a year teaching in Chile and traveled throughout much of Latin America. He has a deep appreciation for the Spanish language but loves the people and cultures of the vast Spanish-speaking world most of all. He says it is an honor to share his passion for the language with others and hopes to inspire students to enjoy it as much as he does!

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
