Course Description: Construction Pre-Apprenticeship

This Construction Pre-Apprenticeship course is designed to provide relevant industry-specific technical knowledge and employability skills to individuals with a vested interest in pursuing a career in the skilled trades.

Additional Course Information

Participants must be 16 to 24 years of age to register and participate in this course. This course is supported by a Grant, and therefore, there is no tuition cost to those who participate. Students will be eligible for an $800 stipend. Classes will be held at COCC Madras Campus on Monday's, Tuesday's, Wednesday and Thursday's from 9:00AM to 2:30PM starting Monday, April 7, 2025 (mandatory orientation day) to May 15, 2025 (a total of 120 curriculum hours for Certifications) Session will break for a half-hour to accommodate lunch. Students will be working outside in a construction setting. Closed toe shoes, layering clothing is suggested. Dress for the weather.

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
