Course Description: Grand Craft Beer: Winter Seasonals

The onset of winter also means the release of "winter warmer" ales. These are typically bigger, stronger, higher gravity beers designed to stick to your ribs. From Imperial Stouts and Porters brimming with roasty flavors to robust barleywines that pair perfectly with a firepit, to all manner of wintry spiced brews, there's a winter beer for every palate. And of course, those cold-weather ales pair perfectly with seasonal dishes. Come thirsty and ready to learn as Certified Cicerone Brian Yaeger discusses traditions past and present associated with seasonal offerings. Participants must be 21 years of age or older, and show ID. Students need to bring $20 (cash or check only) to class to pay the instructor for beer samples.
