Biography: Becky Brauer has been an educator for 32 years, teaching Spanish for 22 of those years to middle and high school students. She has also been the principal of a Dual Language Immersion Elementary school for 7 years, expanding her experience with the Spanish language. Currently, she teaches Education classes for COCC. She received her degrees in International Studies (B.A. University of Oregon) and Secondary Education (M.A. Southern Oregon University). Becky enjoys biking, hiking, and kayaking all around Central Oregon, and travelling to new places. She lives in Prineville, Oregon with her husband. |

Conversational Spanish I
Conversational Spanish I is for the true beginner or novice, with little or no Spanish language instruction. Students will learn the Spanish alphabet, basic grammar construction, and vocabulary to help provide a foundation for conversational skills in practical situations. By the end of the class, students will be able to introduce themselves, talk about their family and weekly activities using ser, tener, estar, and other common verbs, as well as ask simple questions to discover information. A textbook is required for this course.
