Biography: Tara Breitenbucher is a licensed professional counselor who has worked in the mental health field for the last 15 years with experience in short- and long-term psychotherapy, case management, group facilitation, research, teaching, and crisis services. Tara holds a Master's degree in psychology from Seattle University and is a certified geriatric mental health specialist. Tara is a Focusing-Oriented psychotherapist, a certified Focusing Trainer from the International Focusing Institute, and has taught Focusing workshops for the last decade. In addition to her private practice, Tara has worked in public mental health, as an adjunct faculty member at Seattle University in the graduate program, and has been involved in psychological research affiliated with Seattle University and the University of Washington. Tara also provides case consultation to psychotherapists in need of a geriatric mental health specialist.
