Course Description: Solar Installation Training: Introduction to the Fundamentals

This is a 2 day training program designed to introduce participants to solar energy installation. Experienced instructors teach the basics of grid-tied PV systems. They will acquaint participants with safety protocols, plans, roof layout, flashing installation, stringing inverter systems, testing voltage and amperage, and careers in the solar industry. This is a paid training (lunch will be provided both days), although you must register to attend. Minimum age for participants is 18 years old.

Schedule: This training meets from 8:30am-4:30pm (lunch will be provided for registered students) on Thursday, 11/12/26 and Friday, 11/13/26.

Additional Course Information

This is a paid training for enrolled students. Stipends will be mailed to students based upon their attendance. Lunch will be provided for both days of the training.

Cancellation Policy

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
