Course Description: Smartphone Cinematography: Learn to Shoot Like a Pro Youth Camp

Unleash your inner filmmaker with "Smartphone Cinematography: Learn to Shoot Like a Pro!" This hands-on class for both Android and iOS users will empower students to transform their smartphone into a powerful storytelling tool. Taught by experienced TV Journalist and video producer Joe Camarlinghi, this exciting camp enables students to discover the secrets of professional filmmaking, from composition and lighting to editing and sound design. Working in teams, the camp will create captivating short films that will amaze their friends and family. Ages 10-15.

Joe Camarlinghi

Biography: An experienced TV Journalist and video producer, Joe Camarlinghi is a communication expert at heart. A former news anchor, Joe learned the skills to deliver impactful messages, develop stories from beginning to end, and handle high-pressure situations - those of which include times where his skillset was tested raising two wonderfully rambunctious children. Joe's resume includes coaching individuals and organizations on speaking and communication skills, but his greatest love is his family which he lives life to the fullest with here in the High Desert.

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
