This Oregon Board of Dentistry approved course teaches Expanded Function Dental Assistants (EFDA) the placement of pit and fissure sealants. Attendees will receive their curriculum completion form after successfully completing the course and providing a copy of their EFDA certification. The morning session includes lecture followed by a 25-question multiple choice exam. An 80% or better score is required to proceed to the lab/clinical sessions in the afternoon. Each student must bring a patient for the clinical part of the class and supply the required materials listed under Additional Course Information.
This course is typically offered in the fall.
