Course Description: Photography 107: Fall Colors and Waterfalls

Discover how to capture beautiful waterfall and autumn color photographs. This course combines classroom theory with two practical field sessions. Professional photographer Steve Giardini will teach you how to create compelling compositions, achieve well-balanced exposures, and apply best-practice editing techniques to enhance your waterfall and Fall color photos Students must have the following equipment for this course: digital camera with interchangeable lenses and a tripod; and a portable computer or tablet with an Adobe Lightroom or equivalent photo editing software subscription. Contact the instructor if you have questions. Students must self-transport to field sessions.

Schedule:

Classroom sessions are 10/14, 10/16, and 10/21 at COCC's Chandler Lab, 1027 NW Trenton Avenue; Field sessions are 10/18, at Benham and Dillon Falls; and 10/19 at Wizard Falls. Students must self-transport to the field sessions.

Biography: Steve J. Giardini is a Bend-based professional outdoor photographer with over a decade of experience. Steve is an artist, educator, speaker, and photo workshop instructor. In addition to photography, his is resume includes 25+ years of community college teaching experience on a variety of subjects. Steve's photographs have been published in local, national and international magazines, and prints of his photos are on display in homes, businesses and art galleries around Oregon.
