Course Description: Intermediate Spanish: Introduction to the Subjunctive

Master the Spanish Subjunctive and gain confidence using one of the language's most challenging, and most expressive grammar concepts. In this interactive, hands-on course, you'll explore all major forms of the subjunctive mood through real-life conversations, practical exercises, games and engaging activities. Learn when and why the subjunctive is used to express emotions, opinions, uncertainty, desires, recommendations and hypothetical situations. Whether you're looking to improve your conversational fluency or strengthen your grammar, this course will help you use the subjunctive naturally and with greater confidence. Conversational Spanish Courses are taught in both English and Spanish.

NOTE: All class times are Pacific Time (PT).

Online Course Information/Requirements:

- Course fee covers registration for one person unless otherwise noted.
- Must have access to a computer or laptop with current updated operating system. Mobile devices can be used to access some parts of classes but you may not be able to fully participate or complete your course on a phone or tablet.

- An up-to-date internet browser. We recommend Firefox or Chrome. Internet Explorer or Safari may have trouble and are not supported.

David Kargol

Biography: David has lived in Bend since the early 2000's. He has been teaching Spanish at Summit High School since 2013 and loves his role as a language instructor. David spent a year teaching in Chile and traveled throughout much of Latin America. He has a deep appreciation for the Spanish language but loves the people and cultures of the vast Spanish-speaking world most of all. He says it is an honor to share his passion for the language with others and hopes to inspire students to enjoy it as much as he does!

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
