Course Detail: Cook Away Your Muffin Top
Belly fat has been linked to eating too many refined carbohydrates. If you love carbs but need to lose the muffin top, this class is for you. Learn about the carbohydrates that help you burn fat as well as which ones to avoid, what the glycemic index is and how you can use it to keep your weight off, and how fiber, fat and protein levels in carbs make a difference in whether you will store those calories or burn them. Students will prepare some delicious healthy dishes that include the 'good carbs.' Bring an apron and knife.
