Course Description: Apreciaci�n Art�stica: Pintores Espa�oles

Are you interested in learning about great Spanish artists? This lecture-style course, taught in Spanish, will introduce you to the lives, times, and styles of four prominent Spanish painters. Moving chronologically, we quickly focus our lens on El Greco before learning to appreciate Vel�zquez. We then delve into Goya and Picasso. By the end of six hours, you will feel a connection to each artist and his masterpiece(s), in addition to gaining an appreciation of the psychology and history that shaped the work of each painter. Course is intended for the Intermediate-High Level Spanish Language student.

Rachel Kirk

Biography: Rachel Kirk has a doctorate in Spanish linguistics applied to the teaching of Spanish, and more than two decades of experience teaching Spanish to students ranging from elementary school through the university level. In the classroom she excels at engaging students and inspiring in them a passion for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. Other professional interests include Spanish and Hispanic art, literature, and flamenco. She has been recognized as an Outstanding Educator.

Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash.
