Course Detail: Simple Portrait Photography
Join professional photographer Robert Agli as he teaches you how to navigate the world of portrait photography. Learn simple tools and lighting techniques to capture beautiful portraits both indoors and out. In the first session, students will explore how to identify a strategy based on a number of factors including the type of portrait, lighting, background, clothing and props. Image editing and use of tools such as studio lighting, reflectors and diffusers will also be discussed. In the second session, students will gain hands-on experience with both an indoor and outdoor (weather permitting) photo shoot. In the final session, students will have the opportunity to have their work critiqued in a supportive and professional environment. Students will be required to have a certain level of experience with photography; this is not a beginner level course. Bring your camera, lenses and manual. Recommended lenses are those 50mm or longer. Students who own a flash, diffusers or reflectors are encouraged to bring these as well.
