Course Detail: Beginning Clawhammer Banjo
Clawhammer banjo, also known as frailing or down-picking, has been around for at least 200 years. This class will take you from the very basics of playing clawhammer banjo including the proper position of the hand and the rhythm of playing basic runs to playing basic tunes in a variety of banjo tunings. Get ready to have fun learning this very unique style. Bring a 5-string banjo, Headstock Electronic Tuner (i.e Planet Waves, Intelli-Touch, Korg) and Banjo Capo (optional).
