Course Detail: Beginning Conversational German I
Learn basic conversational skills in German, including the alphabet, vocabulary and essential grammar structures in order to carry on easy conversations. This course will focus on developing and practicing speaking and listening skills. Reading and writing assignments will mostly be done as homework. By the end of the course, students will be able to introduce themselves, talk about their daily activities and their family, as well as ask simple questions. Real-life situations will be emphasized and students will receive an introduction to the German speaking countries. The course will be conducted primarily in German to ensure a more immersive atmosphere and to practice listening skills. Books are required for this class.
