(UPDATED TO INCLUDE FIRE SCENE INVESTIGATION)This five (5) day course is designed for firstresponders, detectives and crime sceneinvestigators. Students will receivecomprehensive instruction and hands-on trainingon all areas of crime scene investigation. Topics covered include safeguarding andprocessing of the crime scene, sketching andphotograph of the crime scene, collection ofevidence and "lifting" of fingerprints, and causeand origin of fires. Students will participatein mock crime scene investigations. NOTE: Attendees must have a good workingknowledge of fingerprint collection andidentification.BDUs or Class B uniforms are appropriate. Prerequisite: Investigative Photography Courseor advanced level of knowledge of photographyequipment.Equipment: Camera and photography gear, minimumsafety gear to include eye protection, workgloves, boots and hard hat.
