The student will gain the skills and training necessary to meet the requirements established by the New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology. The program consists of hands-on training using all implements and performing basic designs on mannequins and patrons in a clinical salon setting.

The core of the Electric Program is the National Electrical Code unifying the subject matter of the residential, commercial, industrial wiring, and motor control. The program emphasizes a hands-on approach so that initially the student is taught the use of tools and safety, before their practical and theoretical classroom instruction.
