Course Detail: CE.TRD-090 - Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning
Students will prepare for the EPA approved section 608 certification exams.Section 608 Technician Certification is required by the EPA in order to purchase CFC, HCFC, HFC or HFO refrigerants.Students will thoroughly study required material related to the theory of operations, service and maintenance of HVACR systems including: air conditioning (comfort cooling) systems, heat pumps, different types of heating systems and refrigeration systems.The material will also include shop safety protocols, leak detection, refrigerant recovery and recycle, disposal of refrigerants' containing appliances, combustion testing and analysis, parts of the National Fuel Gas Code (NFGC) related to the job.Hands on-training will reinforce material covered in theory classes. Computer based training is also provided for self-paced study opportunities.Now includes OSHA10 training.Price: $5,970
*Payment is due in full at the time of registration. However, certain classes do provide a payment plan option which may be selected at the time of registration. Under this plan, the student must pay 50% of the total program cost at the time of registration by signing in or creating an account and selecting the minimum payment option. The remaining balance will be paid in additional installments on dates that are preselected by the College. To participate in the payment plan and pay the $25.00 payment plan setup fee, the student must contact the College's Continuing Education office at (856) 374-4955 for further instructions.
