Course Detail: CE.TRD-090 - Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning

During the first semester, the students will prepare for the EPA refrigerant-handling license and thoroughly study the required material related to the theory of operations. Theory topics such as, safety, leak detection (gas, oil, and electric)heating systems, combustion testing, heat pumps, refrigerant recovery, and disposal will recovered. During the second semester, hands-on training reinforces the material covered in the classes. This helps prepare the student to enter the trade and builds confidence in the student's understanding of HVAC concepts. Computer-based training is also provided for a self-paced study, as well as additional theory instruction. Graduates of the program are at the entry-level of the HVAC field.

*Payment is due in full at the time of registration. However, certain classes do provide a payment plan option which may be selected at the time of registration. Under this plan, the student must pay 50% of the total program cost at the time of registration by signing in or creating an account and selecting the minimum payment option. The remaining balance will be paid in additional installments on dates that are preselected by the College. To participate in the payment plan and pay the $25.00 payment plan setup fee, the student must contact the College's Continuing Education office at (856) 374-4955 for further instructions.
