Course Detail: CE.TRD-040 - Cosmetology/Hairstylist
The student will gain the skills and training necessary to meet the New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology requirements. The program consists of hands-on training using all implements and performing basic designs on mannequins and patrons in a clinical salon setting. As a cosmetology student, you will receive a minimum of 1000 hours of instruction in our well-equipped salon, working also with business and hairstyle computers. Units of instruction include State laws, shop management, scalp condition, hair styling, permanent waving, thermal waving, hair shaping, hair cutting, shampooing, tinting, hair coloring, shaving, nail sculpturing, manicuring, facials, and chemistry in clinical practice and related technology. Milady Standard CD-ROM will be used in the program.
*Payment is due in full at the time of registration. However, certain classes do provide a payment plan option which may be selected at the time of registration. Under this plan, the student must pay 50% of the total program cost at the time of registration by signing in or creating an account and selecting the minimum payment option. The remaining balance will be paid in additional installments on dates that are preselected by the College. To participate in the payment plan and pay the $25.00 payment plan setup fee, the student must contact the College's Continuing Education office at (856) 374-4955 for further instructions.
