This two (2) day course is designed to build abase of operation for the new patrol rifleoperator. The course will give the operator afundamental understanding of topics relevant tothe handling of the patrol service rifle. Topicsof instruction include gear and placement, ironsights, optics and accessories, proper shootingstance, proper grip, sight alignment, sightpicture, trigger control, strong and support handshooting, recoil control shooting positions,clearing malfunction, and tactical and combatreloads.NOTE: All Firearms Courses at the Camden CountyCollege Police Academy require participation inphysical activities such as light running,sit-ups, push-ups, etc. Registration is limitedto students capable of full participation.BDUs or Class B uniforms are appropriate.Equipment: M4 style weapon with sling, 4 riflemagazines, magazine carrier, ear and eyeprotection, ballistic vest, 300 rounds of rifleammunition, department issued handgun, holster, 3handgun magazines, magazine pouch, 100 rounds ofhandgun ammunition.
