This one (1) day course will assist lawenforcement (Patrol Officers as well asDetectives) with training that will enhance theirability to recognize and identify the universe ofidentity-related documents issued by and reliedupon by the MVC and the factors that motivatefraudsters. With emerging technology it hasbecome increasingly difficult to identifyfraudulent documents. Students will learn whattools are available to assist them in identifyingcounterfeit documents by providing "hands-on"training and experience in the recognition offraud as it pertains to documents such as: driverlicenses, green cards, passports, birthcertificates, and social security cards. Participants will learn the newest trends incounterfeiting of driver licenses by "on-line"manufacturers, which has become increasinglycommon due to the ease in obtaining access totechnologies. This course will also reviewcounterfeit as well as genuine NJ inspectionstickers, temporary registrations, andcertificates of title. In addition, this classwill review facial recognition technology as itis used by the Motor Vehicle Commission on allimages captured as well as the process that isused with the submission of a photo for a "manualupload."
