This five (5) day course is designed for theofficer newly assigned to a SWAT/tactical team. The course will provide the officer with acomprehensive introduction tot tactical skills. Students will be introduced to basic SWAT topics,tactics, and techniques, including a historicaloverview of SWAT, team organization, structure,resolution of barricaded suspect situations,covert individual and team movement, searches androom clearing, chemical agents, less lethaloptions, DM/O operations, and high-risk warrantservice. This course is a combination ofclassroom and hands-on exercises in whichstudents practice tactics and techniques in thefield.NOTE: All Firearms Courses at the Camden CountyCollege Police Academy require participation inphysical activities such as light running,sit-ups, push-ups, etc. Registration is limitedto students capable of full participation. BDU'sof Class B uniforms are appropriate.
