This three (3) day seminar is designed tofamiliarize first responders and detectives ofthe procedures and responsibilities inherent tothe investigation of sudden or suspicious deaths. It will also describe the functions conducted bymembers of the Prosecutor's Office Mobile CrimeLab Unit and the New Jersey State PoliceLaboratory, as well as provide an overview of thetypes of information needed by the MedicalExaminer's Office to accurately identify thenumerous causes of death. Additionally, itsintent is to coordinate investigative effortsamong law enforcement agencies by establishing amore thorough understanding of each other's role.
