This five (5) day course is designed for thoseofficers who wish to instruct a basic course at aPolice Training Commission (PTC) approved school. To be certified, the student must demonstrateannually the ability to identify the principalparts of teh weapon used in the training program,demonstrate familiarity with the safe and properhandling of weapons, and demonstrate knowledge ofthe established range safety rules.*This course is offered in the spring and fall.*NOTE: All Firearms Courses at the Camden CountyCollege Police Academy require participation inphysical activities such as light running,sit-ups, push-ups, etc. Registration is limitedto students capable of full participation. BDU'sof Class B Uniforms are appropriate.Equipment: Eye and ear protection, ballisticvest, 1500 rounds of handgun ammunition, 20rounds of shotgun (00 buck) ammunition.
