Course Detail: CE.FAC-206 - Ric Member Program (45 Hours)
To be successful at rescuing a lost, trapped, ormissing firefighter requires a tremendous amountof dedication and preparation. Searching andremoving one of our own at an emergency scene willchallenge the best-trained firefighters. Casestudies over the years continually point to thelack of preparation and training to deal withthese type emergencies. Having a dedicated RapidIntervention Crew or company at an incident is onething; having a highly trained crew or company(s)to handle this responsibility is another. FireDepartments must have dedicated procedures andtraining to handle a MAYDAY. This new & updatedNJDFS Rapid Intervention course will provide thenecessary skills, techniques & knowledge for thefirefighter to apply and obtain NJDFS RapidIntervention Member certification.
