Course Detail: CE.FAC-122 - Rope Rescue (a) and (o)
Students will be instructed in various types ofrope, rope rescue equipment, identification meansand usage. Students will learn basic single personrope skills, rappelling, tie offs, patientpackaging, belay systems and simple mechanicalsystems. Students MUST have good skills in basicknot tying. Each student will rappel using arescue eight, tie-offs and pass an obstruction inthe rope. Each student will use different types ofpatient packaging, demonstrate their ability toconstruct/operate belay and mechanical systems.Students will learn to pass an obstruction whilerappelling with rack system and tie-offs. Studentswill perform low angle raises and lowers usingdifferent types of patient packaging systems in anon-technical situation. Each student will have todemonstrate their ability to construct/operate abelay and mechanical system. At completion of the course students willunderstand how to use, build and deploy LoadReleasing Hitches and Tandem Prusik Systems.
