This course is intended to educate firefightersand company officers in the installation andoperation of typical smoke alarms and carbonmonoxide alarms in residential properties.Construction code requirements and operations willbe reviewed. Students will be instructed ontechniques to locate and identify defective alarmsin a multi-alarm system. Students will also beinstructed on methods which can be used to assurethat adequate protection is restored to a propertyprior to the departure of the fire department.
