T&L 2900: Standards Based Teaching and Learning Pacing Guide for Math K-8
Teachers will attend two days of face to face learning about standards based teaching and learning. During the workshop they will use this learning to outline a nine week pacing guide to include standards based instruction of ND priority standards, formative and summative assessment of these standards, and differentiation and reteaching based on data.

T&L 2900: Student Teacher Cooperating Teacher
This training will walk through the process of completing the STOT and ensure the reliability of the assessment from person to person. It has videos examples of teachers and asks the participant to rate that teacher based on a standard. It will then explain the reason for the score for complete understanding.

In The Anxious Generation, social psychologist Jonathan Haidt discusses the facts about the epidemic of teen mental illness that hit many countries simultaneously. He discusses the nature of childhood, including what and why children need play along with independent exploration and adventures free from adult intercession to mature into competent, thriving adults.

T&L 2900: Using Photojournalism to Increase Writing Opportunities
Photojournalism in schools involves using photography to tell stories and document community events. Participants will learn to capture images, craft narratives, and evaluate the quality of visual work, both their own and others. The overarching theme of this course is to use photos to tell a story, using the photographs as a visual storytelling board in their narrative writings.

This will be a course for elementary and middle school instructional coaches within Grand Forks Public Schools.
