The Horse Care Management 100% online self-paced, open entry advanced career training program teaches the principles of equine husbandry and a practical knowledge of horse care management skills for individuals interested in horses, horse care, or starting a career in the horse industry. After successful completion, students know the basic principles of equine husbandry practices; have a broad knowledge of horse care for both the stabled horse and horse kept on grass; know proper management of the health and condition of horses in various situations and conditions; have a deeper understanding of horse behavior as well as practical skills in properly handling and training horses; know the practical knowledge of various aspects of horse breeding, as well as the importance of genetics and selective breeding; increased their level of success as a wrangler or horse caretaker; and received an Achievement certificate to increase their competitiveness in the horse industry job market.
