Course Detail: WTLN121 - Lineworker Apprenticeship 2A

This hybrid, 75-hour course runs 15 weeks, 3 hours per week in a lab setting, and an additional 30 hours of training online. As a result of this training students will be able to describe how grounding equipment can be used to create a zone of equipotential on a three-phase overhead line; explain safety procedures and hazard prevention for overhead line maintenance and bucket truck rescue; inspect and prepare bucket truck for field use, demonstrate care and testing of safety tools and equipment, ammeters, voltmeters, and voltage testers, and demonstrate appropriate use and reading of a multimeter when troubleshooting a circuit.
