Margaret Best
Originally from South Africa where she taught math and art, Margaret resides in Nova Scotia, Canada. Renowned instructor Annemarie Evans revived Best's interest in watercolor and with intensive study under the mentoring of Pandora Sellars over a 7-year period, she refined her techniques for botanical art. With family and student encouragement, she has taught botanical art in over 10 countries. She includes color pencil, graphite and watercolor in her in-person and online teaching and her popular e-booklets are enjoyed worldwide.

Margaret's paintings have been included in numerous ASBA international juried exhibitions. Her work is held in Hunt Institute, Kew Library, the Florilegium of the Royal Sydney Botanical Gardens, and private collections around the globe. She has designed numerous coins for the Royal Canadian Mint.
