Richard Rosenfeld, MD, MPH, MBA is Distinguished Professor and Chairman of Otolaryngology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Rosenfeld is Board Certified in Lifestyle Medicine, follows a whole food, plant-based diet, runs marathons, and enjoys regular weight training. At SUNY Downstate, he is the Founder and Chair of the Committee for Plant-based Health and Nutrition, and faculty advisor for the student Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group and Downstate Initiative on Nutrition Empowerment (DINE).

Dr. Rosenfeld is the Chief Medical Officer for the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine and the Senior Liaison for Medical Societies for the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. He has published more than 350 articles and chapters, given more than 1,000 scientific presentations, and is recognized as an international authority in guideline methodology, evidence-based medicine, and childhood ear problems.

Dr. Rosenfeld has been listed every year since 1996 as a "Best Doctor" by New York Magazine and since 2000 as one of "America's Best Doctors" by Castle Connolly.
