Heeyoung Kim-RHS Gold Medalist and ASBA Best in Show Winner-will share how she creates complicated yet seamless designs without crowded layers or awkward blockages. After exploring the basic mechanics of using graphite pencils, you will practice using value in order to define your work's focal point. You'll also gain confidence in designing large-format illustrations by learning techniques, including how to cover large areas with long strokes, blend media quickly, and transition flawlessly between values. Prerequisite: Botanical Drawing III
