Whether you are a budding arborist or weekend woodcutter, knowing how to use your chainsaw safely and maintain it properly are keys to success. This lecture-demonstration course by an ISA-certified arborist teaches you the basics of chainsaw use and care, sharpening, and bar tensioning. Please bring lunch.

Instructor:	Will Vitagliano Will Vitagliano Will Vitagliano Will Vitagliano is a Certified and Tree Risk Assessment Qualified Arborist currently working as an Arborist Inspector at the Central Park Conservancy for the past 5 years. Will started his career in arboriculture by developing a passion for trees and their ecosystem relationships coming from environmental education and forestry in New York's Catskill mountains. He worked as a groundsperson, climber and plant health care technician at Bartlett Tree Experts. Will has conducted tree inventories and risk assessments across NYC and greater New York as an inventory arborist while at Davey Resource Group. He is well versed and passionate about tree climbing and tree work best practices and recently competed in the New York State tree climbing competition. Additionally, Will has Game Of Logging Levels 1 and 2 chainsaw certifications.
